Beaver Creek Phase 111, IV Developer Update:

Chapel Ridge neighbors:  I had hoped to hear something definitive by now from the town of Apex on the route of the extension of Beaver Creek Drive from its current dead end to Kelly Road.  As of today (Jan 3) the final route selection is still up in the air, so I’ll pass along what I have found out any way.  The developer and the Town of Apex are still exploring four alternate routes.  See the attached figure that shows them and their proximity to Chapel ridge.  North is to the left on the figure.  I have also attached an aerial photo of our neighborhood and the surrounding area that shows significant streams and the current route of I-540.  Also included is a digital photo I took at Apex town hall of the overall plan for the new shopping center.  Dianne Kihn, the Apex planner for this case, has told me that NCDOT is still reviewing the traffic plan for the development and has not approved anything yet that would let the developer proceed with a route selection.  If I hear anything new I’ll pass it along.
